Contactless 'Tap-and-Go' card limits FAQs

The card schemes determine the PIN limit for contactless card payments. For Mastercard, the limit is $100, for other schemes, it is $200.

Simply advise customers to follow the EFTPOS terminal prompts regarding PIN entry.

Same day settlement is a benefit you get when you combine your BankSA payment solution with a BankSA transaction account. Transactions processed through your payment solution will be credited to your BankSA business account the same day (when you settle your terminal before 9pm EST). This allows you to access your funds faster and helps improve your cash flow. Subject to system availability, settlement can take place 7 days a week. Settlement must be to an eligible BankSA business transaction account. Same day settlement is only available for Mastercard®, Visa® and eftpos transactions (plus UnionPay if using EFTPOS Connect). Same day settlement 7 days a week currently available for EFTPOS merchants only.
