Concession Account

  • A basic, low-cost account with a Debit Visa®¹ to make deposits and withdrawals, payments online or on the BankSA App
  • $0 Account-keeping fee and $0 Overdrawn fee or debit interest (other fees may apply)
  • For individuals who hold a Concession or Health Care card or receive an Australian Government benefit payment that makes you eligible to hold a Concession or Health Care card
  • You’re at least 14 years old with an Australian residential address (under 14s apply in branch with a parent or guardian)

  • Your BankSA Internet Banking logon details.

Complete your application in branch

To open your account, you’ll need to visit a BankSA branch.

Please make sure you bring:

  • Your tax details. If you’re a foreign tax resident, we’ll also need your tax residency details
  • Suitable ID. You’ll need to be verified separately.

Important information
1. To be eligible for a Visa Debit Card, you must have an Australian residential address and be 14 years old or over. If you’re 12 or 13 years old and have an Australian residential address, you can request a Freedom Card in branch.
