Westpac Group today announced that BankSA Chief Executive, Mr Nick Reade, will take on a broader role within the Westpac Group.

In addition to his current role as Chief Executive of BankSA, Mr Reade will have additional responsibility for the Westpac brand across South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Westpac Group Consumer Chief Executive, David Lindberg, said that Nick was highly respected in the South Australian market with the ability to drive great customer outcomes for both BankSA and Westpac.

“Nick has led the transformation of BankSA into a modern, relevant and growing bank for all South Australians and has been a strong advocate for the economic growth of the state,” said Mr Lindberg.

“Nick’s ability to show strong leadership, whilst understanding local markets and communities, will be a great asset for our business in these important markets across both the Westpac and BankSA brands.”

Mr Reade said he was looking forward to helping even more South Australians, Territorians, and now also Western Australians, with their everyday banking, home ownership and savings goals.

“I am pleased to be able to share my banking experience and care for our communities and customers more broadly across the Westpac brand.

“I am passionate about supporting our customers and being a catalyst for economic growth more broadly,” said Mr Reade. “I am excited by the opportunity to build on this further, both within South Australia and now more broadly in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.”

Mr Reade’s appointment to this new role is effective immediately.
