We’re raising funds for women in crisis across South Australia.
Wednesday, 9th May 2018
Last year, 20,771 South Australians were assisted with homeless services, and more than 60% of these were women.
Women are at greater risk of homelessness due to gender-based financial inequality, and this risk is amplified with domestic and family violence.
Through Vinnies’ CEO Sleepout, BankSA Chief Executive Nick Reade and the team at BankSA are raising funds to enable women and children to escape harm and receive the help they need for a brighter future.
Last year, our fundraising contributed directly to the establishment of a new 20-room women’s crisis accommodation facility in Adelaide’s north. Since the shelter opened it has been at 98% capacity.
There is still a lot more to do. Please support our community’s most vulnerable by making a donation here.
